HAMMEL explained that the requirements of its customers have continued to evolve to homogenously screen out or separate the input material in one single step. Innovations in recent years were f.e. the stationary metal separator SMA and its mobile version the MMA 1400 E – pictured.

The company said that it now offers everything from a single source and provides its customers with a complete solution for various materials such as wood, waste and metal.

Depending on the individual customer requirements all processing plants are designed from planning to commissioning.

In the area of waste wood an energy saving and therefore extremely economical size reduction is made possible and the mobile metal processing plant separates precisely in one single operation magnetic (ferrous) metals and non-magnetic (non-ferrous) materials.

Since its formation 20 years ago the company said that a strong sales and service network has been built and today company it is active in almost all countries of the world.

In the future the company said that it will continue to incorporate its ongoing findings and experiences in the development of its equipment.

From humbler beginnings, German waste shredding equipment manufacturer, HAMMEL Recyclingtechnik GmbH, has celebrated its 20th birthday as one of the industry’s major players. This slide show takes a look at how…

Something big usually starts as something small. The same is true for HAMMEL Recyclingtechnik GmbH. With only three employees, a small production hall, but a lot of commitment, the company was established at a site in Bad Salzungen, Germany on February 15th, 1996.

For the past 20 years HAMMEL has developed shredding and recycling technology and has developed into a major international company.

The manufacturer puts this success down to the tireless efforts of all employees when it comes to demanding recycling solutions and their ability to create innovative solutions and machineries tailored to individual customer requirements.

From its first first prototypes , over the last 20 years, the company has met the demanding requirements for shredding technology in the fields of wood, waste and metal with numerous innovations in recent years.

In 2012 the world's largest mobile shredder, the HAMMEL-primary shredder VB 1500 DK (pictured above), was engineered and introduced to the market.

This primary shredder is suitable for shredding used car bodies, mega tires and bulky materials. Just one year later the VB750 was launched. For more on that click the next page arrow.

The HAMMEL VB 750 Limited Edition is equipped with an outstanding 480 hp, powered by CAT, C13 engine and the increased power results in higher throughput.

The V750 Limited Edition weighs in at 21 tonnes and is suitable for Applications Wood, C&I waste, domestic waste, aluminium and other materials.

Among the more recent product launches came the Hammel VB 450 DK – Duo. More on that on the next slide.

Among the new products introduced in recent years is also the HAMMEL-primary shredder VB 450 DK - Duo.

With the use of the VB 450 DK-DUO primary shredder different materials such as green waste and waste wood can be processed.

The VB 450 DK-DUO is built with an innovative 4-shaft system. In just one working step the operator achieve a homogenous end product of approximately 80 - 100 mm for immediate further processing. The machine is available with either a C9 or C13 drive.

However, new equipment innovations also exist in the areas of secondary shredding and the HAMMEL- screening and sorting technology – more on that on the next slide.
