AE&E Inova becomes Hitachi Zosen Inova
17 February 2011 AE&E Inova AG, which became a part of the Hitachi Zosen Corporation in December 2010, is changing its name to Hitachi Zosen Inova AG. Formerly part of the Von Roll Inova Group with its headquarters in Zurich, the company claims to be the global market leader in the energy from waste sector. Hitachi Zosen Corporation has been a licensing associate of AE&E Inova for over 50 years. During this time, it has implemented its partner's core technology in more than 180 waste to energy plants in Japan, China and other countries throughout South-East Asia. Minoru Furukawa, President of Hitachi Zosen Corporation said: "Hitachi Zosen Corporation and AE&E Inova both have an excellent reputation in their respective markets. The geographical presence of each company perfectly complements the other. With Hitachi Zosen Inova AG, we will enjoy improved access to customers in Europe and North America while together, we can expand our strong market position in Japan, China and Asia as well as in other emerging markets." According to the company, the aim is to expand its global market leadership. To achieve this, Hitachi Zosen Corporation says that it primarily intends to strengthen the research & development activity and to take advantage of AE&E Inova's experience in providing turn-key waste to energy plants.
