Alabama city to get $600,000 of recycling bins for new service

Recycling levels are hoped to increase in Florence, Alabama following the delivery of nearly 12,000 blue bins. Grants totalling $600,000 were used by the Street and Recycling Department to purchase the containers, according to state newspaper, TimesDaily. Half of the grant money was received from the Curbside Value Partnership, a non-profit group funded by companies such as Coca-Cola and Novelis (read WMW article).
