With its permissible total weight of 3.5 t, the Citymaster 1600 can be employed in the city on footpaths without any restrictions and additionally - and fully loaded - in all paved or hard-surfaced areas, covering the entire range of services usually attributed to a larger sweeper. Another helpful feature is that the Citymaster can be driven by anyone holding a Class-B driving licence. www.hako.com Scarab Lights Up IFAT Scarab attended IFAT as one of the subsidiaries of the Fayat Group. Along with sister companies Mathieu from France, Ravo from Holland and Bomag from Germany we presented a complete range of sweeping and environmental solutions to suit a global audience. The Group had on display 10 sweepers and a scale model of Bomag's landfill compactor. The range covered large truck-mounted road construction machines to compact machines for sweeping and scrubbing inner city areas. Scarab displayed a Magnum Plus Titanium fitted with bespoke options developed by our German distributor. For the municipal customer we showed the Scarab Merlin which has become the industry standard. The Merlin is a fantastic package using Scarab's own hydrostatic drive and rugged body and in this instance mounted on a Mercedes Euro6 chassis. For our export market we showed a Scarab m6; a twin engine heavy duty road-sweeper which can be mounted onto virtually any 13 to 18 tonne truck chassis. www.scarab-sweepers.com The NTM Front Loader The NTM front end loader is designed for easy operation as well as a high degree of reliability. Great for alleyways and limited access areas, the vehicle comes equipped with automated forks on the front, which the driver easily controls by joystick with the help of advanced PLC-technology, the waste container is lifted over the truck, flipped upside down and the material is emptied into the vehicle's hopper. With a loading capacity of up to 36 m3 the FL-P has a patented cab shield making it easy to get all the waste in the hopper without spillage. With the pendulum principle for compaction there are moving parts, favourable life cycle costs and a good compaction ratio and emptying via tipping means an ejection plate isn't needed, keeping cleaning and maintenance down to an absolute minimum. NTM's FL-P features PLC-controlled hydraulics, an emergency stop facility, vehicle work lights and two cameras with in-cab monitor as standard with the option of a third camera for added visibility for loading and discharging. www.ntm.fi
