Ecomondo : Ecomondo opens call for papers ahead of November 2026 edition
Ecomondo, the leading international event for the green and circular economy, has opened its Call for Papers for the 2026 edition, which returns to the Rimini Expo Centre from 3 to 6 November 2026.
Until 30 June, researchers and practitioners can submit an abstract for a research project or successful case study to be considered for inclusion in the official conference programme. Representatives and researchers from the public and private sectors, institutions, regulatory bodies and civil society are all invited to submit work, with the aim of enriching expert sessions with diverse perspectives from across sectors and countries.
Ecomondo is evolving into a hub of innovation and research, and the Call for Papers is a central initiative dedicated to collecting works that may be selected to become part of the conference programme or published in the official Ecomondo proceedings.
The event hosts over 200 conferences and workshops covering innovative best practices, policy and regulatory updates, research and innovation, funding opportunities, entrepreneurship, international networking, and training — all within the framework of the European Green Deal.
Three routes to publication
Accepted abstracts can be developed into full publications through three routes: a 5–6 page article in Italian or English for the Ecomondo Acts; a full paper of 6–10 pages in English for the peer-reviewed journal Procedia – Environmental Science, Engineering and Management; or a full paper of 10–12 pages in English for the international peer-reviewed Environmental Engineering Management Journal.
The Scientific Committee reserves the right to place accepted abstracts as oral interventions or poster sessions, depending on the programmatic needs of the conference.
Waste management professionals and researchers looking to showcase innovation and case studies on the road to a circular economy are encouraged to submit their abstracts at ecomondo.com before the 30 June deadline.
