COP30 : Kanadevia Inova's message on affordable and circular waste infrastructure
Kanadevia Inova, a global leader in solutions for the energy transition and circular economy, will participate in key discussions on waste management infrastructure at the 2025 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Brazil.
The Switzerland-based company is a global market leader in developing, operating and servicing affordable waste-to-energy and biogas plants and systems. It employs more than 3,500 people in 17 countries and has completed more than 1,600 projects.
In Brazil, high-level Kanadevia Inova representatives have been invited to contribute to discussions on the role of sustainable and affordable waste management infrastructure in climate change mitigation.
Kanadevia Inova is a subsidiary of Kanadevia Corporation, which is based in Osaka, Japan. The centrepiece of the Kanadevia Group's participation will be a seminar hosted by the Japanese Ministry of the Environment, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), and presented by the President and CEO of Kanadevia Corporation, Michi Kuwahara, on 12 November.
Kanadevia Corporation will also hold an exhibition in the Japanese government pavilion entitled “Fully Utilising Waste as a Resource to Decarbonise our Lives Globally”.

There will additionally be a live webinar from the International Solid Waste Association on November 18 with the participation of Kanadevia Inova and discussing the COP 30 agenda, activities and potential results.
Humanity’s treatment of municipal solid waste and organic waste has risen to the top of the global climate change agenda in recent years as societies begin to acknowledge the staggering contribution of the methane and carbon emissions from waste towards potentially irreversible atmospheric pollution and warming.
Kanadevia Inova aims to be at the forefront of decarbonising national waste infrastructures: The company was recently given Notice-To-Proceed instructions to build the first full-scale carbon capture project at a UK waste to energy facility.
And earlier this year the company launched an asset management arm investing in biogas plants throughout Europe and beyond.
