Presona AB, the Swedish manufacturer of balers with pre-press technology, has appointed Recycling Engineers Services Ltd as its exclusive UK partner for service, support, and spare parts. The move comes in direct response to the suspension of trading operations by Presona's former UK distributor, Presona UK Limited, which is currently undergoing a transition period.

Presona has been keen to clarify that Presona UK Limited was always an independent business partner and not a subsidiary — the two companies have at all times been separate legal entities.

Swift action to ensure supply chain continuity

The speed of the appointment reflects Presona's determination to minimise disruption for its UK customer base. "In response to Presona UK Limited suspending their trading operations, we have acted quickly and decisively to ensure continuity and stability for our customers in the United Kingdom. RES is well known and trusted within the waste management sector, and we have great confidence in their technical expertise and strong commitment to service quality. Their proven track record and established presence in the UK make them a reliable long-term partner for Presona. We look forward to growing together and strengthening our position in the UK market," says Martin Skogmalm, CEO, Presona AB.

A wealth of engineering expertise behind the scenes

RES brings considerable credentials to the partnership. Founded in 2004, the company has more than 20 years of experience delivering engineering support to the waste management and recycling industry. With over 100 years of collective engineering expertise across its team, and substantial spare parts stock held in the UK, RES is well-placed to offer rapid response and repair services for automatic balers and conveyors.

The company will be represented in its work with Presona by Roger Azevedo and Steven Whitty, both of whom bring extensive hands-on experience with Presona equipment and a deep familiarity with the UK recycling sector.
