Workplace : Sirmax Group got Great Place to Work certification for the fourth year running
Sirmax Group, based in Cittadella (PD) and specialising in the production of thermoplastic granules for various sectors, including automotive, household appliances, furniture, electrical goods and construction, remains one of the best workplaces. In 2026, the Great Place to Work® Institute awarded Sirmax the Great Place to Work® certification once again for all its Italian plants (Cittadella, Padua; Tombolo, Padua; San Vito al Tagliamento, Pordenone; Pianiga, Venice; Salsomaggiore Terme, Parma; and Isola Vicentina, Vicenza), as well as its plants in Poland (two in Kutno, Łódź) and the United States (two in Anderson, Indiana).
Since 2023, the company has systematically improved working conditions, obtaining Great Place to Work® certification every year. Added to this achievement is the title of 'Best Workplace for Blue Collar®', obtained for two consecutive years, which has further strengthened the quality of the corporate atmosphere and the attention devoted to employees in the production departments. This is Sirmax's sixth award in four years when combining the certificates for the plants and those for blue-collar workers, confirming its commitment to creating a stimulating environment and positive culture focused on the well-being and continuous improvement of all its employees.
The Great Place to Work® Institute is an international organisation that specialises in evaluating companies with exceptional working environments. The evaluation process consists of two main phases. First, all employees participate in an anonymous survey conducted via a dedicated digital platform. The aim of this survey is to thoroughly evaluate employees' experiences of working for the company. The questionnaire covers various aspects of company life, including leadership, management availability, integration and non-discrimination. It is based on five key dimensions: trust, respect, fairness, sense of belonging and team spirit.
The best results of the survey are as follows: 'When someone is hired, they feel welcome' (84%), 'I can take time off work when necessary' (83%), 'People here celebrate special events' (82%), 'I believe our customers rate our services very highly' (82%), 'Management trusts employees and does not monitor their work' (81%), 'Management is approachable' (79%). Employees' opinions expressed in the questionnaires are also significant, highlighting their appreciation of the working atmosphere and the Group's corporate strategies. ‘We are a young and dynamic company, and many of us have real opportunities to grow and bring about change’; ‘Initiatives that encourage interaction between colleagues outside working hours strengthen team spirit and create an atmosphere of collaboration and motivation’; and ‘Entrepreneurship is valued and promoted, which encourages people to come up with ideas and take responsibility’. This is hugely valuable because it means that the company invests in people and their growth'; 'Initiatives that encourage interaction between colleagues outside working hours strengthen team spirit and create an atmosphere of collaboration and motivation'; 'Entrepreneurship is valued and promoted, which encourages people to come up with ideas and take responsibility'.
At Sirmax, human resources management is based on the principles set out in the Code of Ethics: integrity, protection of the individual, fairness in professional relationships, and non-discrimination. The company is committed to maintaining a peaceful and stimulating working environment that respects the needs of all employees, and to promoting a policy of personal and professional development that ensures career growth based on skills, professionalism and merit. Sirmax offers training, social projects and career development opportunities, as well as supporting sustainability initiatives. One such initiative is Empowerment New Gen, which involved young Generation Z employees (those born between the mid-1990s and 2010) and company executives in open and constructive dialogue. The aim was to understand the needs of Generation Z at Sirmax and propose an internal development plan agreed with the company's management.
‘The Great Place to Work award is something that makes us proud every time,’ comments Sirmax President and CEO Massimo Pavin. "Being a solid, international and constantly changing company has allowed us to build a team where technical skills are complemented by autonomy, initiative and the ability to collaborate. Our employees, especially young people, know they can count on an environment that values discussion and continuous improvement, and this leads them to participate actively, propose new ideas and generate positive impacts, ensuring the future of the company."
ZAt Sirmax, listening is not an exercise: it is a strategic choice,’ adds Silvia Minafra, global HR director of Sirmax Group. "With the project dedicated to Gen Z, we wanted to tap into the energy, language and expectations of the new generations and transform them into concrete levers of innovation. At the same time, we deeply believe in the value of coexistence between different generations. An inclusive environment, where skills and experiences intertwine, allows us to build more complete teams capable of tackling challenges from different perspectives. This diversity creates a balance between the drive for innovation and operational solidity, enriching our corporate culture. This is our way of doing business: putting people at the centre to run faster, together."
