PRSE 2026 : A stellar cast of voices set to shape the future of plastic recycling
The tenth edition of PRSE is shaping up to be a milestone moment for everyone working across the plastics reprocessing value chain. Taking place at RAI Amsterdam on 5 and 6 May 2026, the event will bring together more than 70 leading figures from across the sector — the most distinguished line-up in the show's history. With the European regulatory landscape shifting rapidly, organisers describe this as a particularly pivotal moment for the industry to convene.
Key orators from policy and industry
Among the latest names confirmed to take to the stage is Wolfgang Trunk, Team Leader for Plastics and Packaging at the European Commission's DG Environment. A senior policy expert who coordinated the development of the EU's Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), Trunk will bring considerable regulatory authority to a panel discussion entitled Recycled Content Targets: From Mandate to Implementation.
He joins an already formidable opening keynote pairing: Jessika Roswall, European Commissioner for Environment, Water Resilience and a Competitive Circular Economy, and Ton Emans, President of Plastics Recyclers Europe. Their joint session — From Crisis to Competitiveness: Rebuilding the European Plastics Recycling Industry — will set the tone for the two days.
A broad spectrum of industry voices
Beyond the policy sphere, the newly confirmed presenters represent a wide cross-section of the commercial world. Philipp Lehner, CEO of ALPLA, and Massimo Pavin, CEO of Sirmax Group, bring chief executive-level perspectives from packaging and compounding respectively. Michael Schmidt, CPO of the Jokey Group, adds further senior manufacturing expertise to the programme.
Sustainability leadership is also well represented. Gerald Rebitzer, Vice President Sustainability Operations & Advocacy at Amcor, and Agnieszka van Batavia, Vice President Sustainability Pharma Division at Constantia Flexibles, will speak alongside Seda Özenç Boyraz, Packaging & Packaging Regulatory Manager at Diversey. Rounding out the new additions are Kostiantyn Kulyk, Senior Sector Engineer at the European Investment Bank, and Arne Ringkowski, Senior Director SC Network & Reverse Logistics at ALDI Nord.
Programme scope and sponsors
The two-day programme will run across two conference theatres, combining keynote sessions, panel discussions, technical presentations and sponsored sessions covering policy, innovation and market developments. Event sponsors will present papers on a wide range of advances in plastics recycling technology and the broader circular economy. Gold sponsors include ExxonMobil Signature Polymers and NGR Next Generation Recyclingmaschinen GmbH, while silver sponsors comprise Axens, Eastman, Fimic SRL, Indaver Plastics2Chemicals, Linder-Recyclingtech GmbH, SACMI, Schneider Electric, SK Functional Polymer, Syklo, Trinseo and VTT.
The programme will also feature the annual Plastics Recycling Awards Europe ceremony, celebrating innovation and achievement across the European industry.
An essential forum for the sector
Now attracting more than 13,000 attendees from over 75 countries — as it did in 2025 — and hosting upwards of 500 exhibitors, PRSE has firmly established itself as the foremost European gathering for professionals involved in plastics recycling and the circular use of plastics. Registration for both the exhibition and conference is open via the PRS Europe website .
