About Volker Ludwig Dr Volker Ludwig has a diploma in industrial engineering, specialising in mechanical engineering, and a doctorate in political science with public law. Since 2002: Managing Director of Dr Ludwig Intelligent Projects GmbH, an international scientific, economic and technical consulting company; client profile approx. 50% public/publicly funded and approx. 50% private sector contracts. Project experience in more than 20 countries, focus on Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, focus country Egypt, Vice President of the German-Egyptian Society Bonn-Cairo e.V., multilingual. 2009 to 2011: Member of the steering group of the Recycling and Efficiency Technology Initiative of the Federal Ministry for the Environment (ReTech). Various waste management/circular economy projects, primarily in south-east Europe, expert for waste management in the Republic of Cyprus.
