Cross Wrap Bale Wrapping Lines a Hit With RDF Plants
Cross Wrap offers machinery able to handle many different materials Cross Wrap's wrapping lines are proven, reliable solutions that meet specific production and end market needs, with over 250 units delivered in 37 countries to date. The machines are continuously developed to meet new challenges based on customers' feedback. During the past 12 months the need to wrap RDF material for long distance transportation and storage has grown rapidly and the company has delivered Cross Wrap machinery to leading companies in this field. Cross Wrap creates new value for customers by offering machinery able to handle many different materials. Using the same machine customers can handle bales with no wrapping, only four sides wrapping for recyclables, light and economical six sides wrapping for transportation and short term storage and finally six sides, last vertical layers wrapping for long term storage and demanding transportation. New models of bale openers have also recently been delivered to waste to energy facilities and cement operators in France, Turkey, Netherlands, Sweden and Denmark. The customer operates a carpet collection service which had become so successfull that its current machinery was unable to keep pace. Hence its purchase of a factory refurbished WEIMA Spider1500 90kW single shaft shredder from Fercell WeimaUK, which provided an increased processing capability of 46%. The Weima Spider1500 90kW single shaft shredder was supplied with a 40mm screen complete with ancillary equipment to include IMRO rising in-feed and "L" type discharge conveyors as well as an IMRO overband magnet for tramp ferrous material capture. The Spider1500 also provided an energy saving of over 30% - allowing for an energy efficiency grant. Currently all processed materials are supplied to a RDF source with the remainder to equestrian applications. For further information call our friendly customer support team. Web: www.weima.com Made in Germany - The New VEZ 2500 Heavy Duty RDF Shredder Westerwald, Germany based environmental technology manufacturer, VECOPLAN has launched its latest heavy duty re-shredder for RDF applications - the high performance VEZ 2500. The VEZ 2500 is the perfect shredder to produce high caloric RDF from domestic and municipal solid waste for use in cement kilns and power generation facilities. The re-shredder is a robust and compact single-shaft shredder for shredding of pre-shredded ferrous/non-ferrous and air classified recyclables. The high-performance shredding unit stands out due to maximum throughput capacity, energy-saving shredding process and easy maintenance. For example, an almost maintenance free and high torque HiTorc®-drive unit with 247 kW motor power replaces high-maintenance drive elements like belt drive, turbo coupling friction and/or gear drive. The fully automated VK 12018 R channel baling press from HSM in Frickingen for pressing paper, cardboard and cardboard boxes has been in use by SITA at its Hochheim facility in Germany for around three months. The facility handles around 30,000 tonnes of paper, cardboard and cardboard boxes from households, printers, businesses and press wholesalers each year, but had limited space in its warehouse. Thanks to the enormous pressing pressure and the large bale format there are now fewer, but larger bales being produced at the site. They can even be stored outside as high pressure makes the bales as strong as concrete blocks, This allows SITA to utilise the warehouse in the best way possible, speed up logistics processes and reduce energy consumption at the same time. Web: www.hsm.eu Uncompromising - the New Crambo direct With the Crambo direct Komptech is presenting another machine in its new Green Efficiency line. From the newly developed drive to the extra large dimensions, this is a new generation of shredder. A new approach to efficiency is evident not just in the drive train, but also in the shredding action and the economy of the Crambo direct. The drive train combines the functionality of hydraulic drive with the efficiency of mechanical drive for top efficiency, while a new operating panel uses symbols that are clearly understandable. Moreover, the new Crambo uses up to 30% less fuel than conventional diesel-hydraulic shredders. Web: www.komptech.com Presona Launches a New LP Series Baler at RWM Presona AB, one of the world's leading designers and manufacturers of balers, has launched its new LP 85 VH is a state-of-the-art baler with a range of features to enhance performance and improve life cycle costs. A friction channel with two pulling cylinders enhances bale density and reduces wear and tear. The relationship between the fixed bale channel and the friction channel better controls the press force and optimises bale density and shape. To save energy, all the Presona LP Series balers can be equipped with a Frequency Control System, which adapts the RPM of the motor to the requirements of flow from the pump.
