New Study in Collaboration with Polymer Comply Europe : European Plastics Converters Launches 3rd Edition of Recycling Survey
Trade association, European Plastics Converters (EuPC), decided to conduct the third edition of its survey on the use of recycled polymers by plastics converters in Europe in cooperation with Polymer Comply Europe (PCE).
The organisation said that it made the decision to conduct a third survey based on the findings of the first two surveys, and backed up by their success and the signature of the Circular Plastics Alliance Declaration.
The survey was launched on 2 September and will be open until the 1 December 2019 on the PCE website. It is accessible in seven languages: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Polish and Turkish.
In the first two editions of the survey that were conducted in 2017 and 2018, more than 860 participants from all over Europe provided information on their use of recycled polymers. To gain further insights and evaluate the development, the third survey again asks European plastics converters to provide their views and experience on the use of recycled polymers. The main focal points are the supply and performances as perceived by converters, and what barriers they face when incorporating recycled polymers into their products.
“It is essential for our industry to get more knowledge about the use of recycled polymers to further identify and specify the processability performance and supply issues that European plastics converters are facing. Together with our newly developed MORE platform that monitors the volumes of recycled polymers that are incorporated into new products, the third edition of our survey will help us to find appropriate solutions for the future and demonstrate our commitment to a more sustainable plastics economy.” (Alexandre Dangis, EuPC Managing Director)
The survey is available in 7 languages and is open to all European companies active in the plastics converting industry. The results will be published in the first quarter of 2020. The full reports on the results of the survey’s first two editions are available free of charge on the PCE website.
