Komptech's Chippo impresses experts in European Roadshow

During a European Roadshow, which went through Dresden, Bergheim and Hannover among other places, Komptech's Chippo 500 was put through its paces by various experts in waste technology – and it has impressed its would-be critics. The tractor-driven mobile chipper can take on any size of wood waste from shrubbery to heavy wood trunks, as well as providing pre-compression and active forwarding to the chipping area for bulky prunings and tree-top wood. The feed area features two top-mounted and two vertical feed drums, and the rotor (with a speed of 560 rpm) has twelve rigid knives with adjustable advance to ensure precise cutting. The basket can be exchanged without the need for tools and can be extended during use to guard against blockages.
