Smaller Refuse Collection Vehicles Key to Contract Win : Louisville and Wrens Waste Collection Contracts for Meridian Waste in Georgia

Greensboro, Georgia based integrated waste and recycling firm, Meridian Waste, has been awarded solid waste services contracts by both the City of Wrens and the City of Louisville at recent council meetings.
The change in contracted haulers was based upon multiple factors including previous management experience with the two cities, the management’s quality service record and the commitment to utilise a smaller collection truck to help maintain and preserve the Cities’ streets.
Beginning 2 September, Meridian Waste said that it will provide residents with once a week garbage collection utilising 95-gallon carts.
The residential carts will be delivered by August 30 to each home along with detailed collection education materials, company contact information, and the opportunity to sign up for service alerts. The fee for solid waste services will be paid by the cities to Meridian Waste and remain as a line item on residential units’ water bills.
“We believe that the most important aspect is the team of environmental professionals who stand with the Company, who interact with your citizens, who keep the trucks running smoothly and on time, and who listen to customers’ needs that make a world of difference in our vital service industry,” commented Bobby Williams, area president of Meridian Waste.
Meridian Waste added that its team are veterans of the local market, as they have led the Augusta operations for Advanced Disposal for many years prior to joining forces with Meridian Waste.
