Boughton Engineering to Mount, Sell and Support McNeilus RCVs : McNeilus Front Loader Refuse Collection Vehicles Return to UK
Dodge Center, Minnesota based refuse collection vehicle manufacturer, McNeilus Truck & Manufacturing, Inc. has entered a strategic partnership with Wolverhampton UK based specialist truck body builder, Boughton Engineering to reintroduce the McNeilus® front loader to the UK
Under the agreement Boughton will mount, finish, market and support McNeilus front loaders in the, with the first McNeilus units expected to be completed in early 2017.
McNeilus, an Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK) company, said that its front loaders include a broad range of body capacities and feature innovative designs and proven technologies.
The company added that while its front loaders are designed for both commercial and residential applications, in the UK market they are expected to be used primarily for commercial waste collections.
“We’re excited to announce this agreement with Boughton Engineering, re-opening important new markets to McNeilus,” said Christopher Zuniga, senior director of international sales and operations for the Oshkosh Commercial Group and McNeilus.
“Boughton Engineering has broad industry expertise and an excellent sales team and after sales support. This is a true win-win for all parties involved, especially for refuse haulers in the UK,” he continnued.
Boughton Group managing director, Richard Skan added: “McNeilus front loader product line is a perfect strategic fit with our established waste handling products, and this will enable our companies, together, to support our customers with a significantly stronger offering.”
