WebTech Wireless Inc., has won a contract to supply over 650 of its Quadrant in-vehicle locators to a major Canadian waste disposal company. The vehicle fleet location-based service, and telematics technology specialist said that this order is in addition to more than 250 units already in service with the Customer's fleet since the fall of 2009. Webtech said that Quadrant is an end-to-end solution for service, transportation and government organizations - providing remote fleet management capabilities for fleet operations of all sizes, allowing them to monitor the location and operation of their mobile assets in real-time through web and email-based applications, and providing detailed reports. Waste disposal companies, can realize substantial increases in efficiency and productivity while decreasing costs through more efficient fleet utilization, reduced fuel use and preventive maintenance. This particular Customer is also utilizing Quadrant's advanced messaging functions to improve dispatcher and driver communication to monitor route completion and compliance, dispatch vehicles at short notice and make immediate alterations to routes. The Customer, a company that provides residential and commercial collection, recycling and disposal services across Canada, based its decision to expand its Quadrant implementation was based on the operational efficiencies and return on investment realized by the Customer to date.
