SUEZ environnement becomes SUEZ
Global resource management group, SUEZ environnement, has shortened its name to SUEZ, following the re-branding of GDF-SUEZ to ENGIE earlier this year. SUEZ environnement unified all of its global business unit brands under the single name on March 12 2015 (read WMW story) but, at the time, shared the SUEZ brand name with GDF-SUEZ. In April 2015, GDF-SUEZ announced that it would become ENGIE, which SUEZ said allows it to remove the additional “environnement” as a means of distinguishing between the two companies, and therefore complete its transition to a single brand. The change from SUEZ environnement to SUEZ was approved by the Group’s Board of Directors on Tuesday 28th July 2015. All UK business units operating within the group will henceforth be known as SUEZ and referred to by their division name. The business unit formerly known as SITA UK is now the Recycling and Recovery UK division of SUEZ. Read more Waste & recycling SITA UK becomes ‘Suez Envrionnement’ in global rebrand
