Veolia buys old Republic assets
As a requirement of its merger with Allied Waste, Republic Services sold certain assets which have been bought by Veolia ES. Five commercial collection routes are part of the deal which is expected to generate $2.2 million in annual revenue. 'The acquisition of these assets is consistent with our strategic plan of acquiring operations that can synergize with existing collection operations and provide new disposal volume for our existing landfills,' said Jim Long, the newly appointed president and CEO of Veolia ES Solid Waste.
