VIDEO: ZenRobotics Robot Recycler Goes Mobile as Company Wins Award
Helsinki, Finland based robotic recycling sorting machine developer, ZenRobotics, has launched a semi mobile version of its ZRR robotic sorting machine. The ZRR Semi-mobile launch event was held at the recent Slush 2013 startup conference in Helsinki, attended by the Prime Minister of Finland, Jyrki Katainen. According to the company, the ZenRobotics Recycler (ZRR) was the first robotic waste sorting system in the world. The new ZRR Semi-mobile product version is said to enable the robotic sorter to be transported in a standard shipping container and easily installed anywhere necessary to sort construction and demolition waste. The company explained that the new ZRR Semi-mobile has two robotic arms, weighs 20 tonnes and is 12 meters long. Award winning Further to its latest product offering, ZenRobotics also recently won a Global Cleantech Cluster Association (GCCA) Top 10 Award. The GCCA’s Global Top 10 Winners represent the best of the association’s nearly 50 member clusters and over 10,000 member companies. The GCCA Global Top 10 Winners were selected by 22 cleantech venture capital and private equity investors and serial entrepreneurs. “These Global Top 10 are all companies with significant achievements and strong local ties to their economic regions,” explained Christian Haeuselmann, co-founder of the GCCA and cluster manager for swisscleantech. “They are not only strong technically, but their products and services demonstrate a particular investability and potential market growth mainstream investors are seeking. By highlighting them as winners, we demonstrate to the world that cleantech companies are serious and successful investments,” he added. A video of the ZRR in action can be seen below.
