German Waste & Recycling Equipment Manufacturer Coming to Birmingham : Live Demonstrations of HSM Baling and Shredding Equipment at RWM
German recycling equipment manufacturer, HSM GmbH + Co. KG, will have live demonstrations will be given of its products at the forthcoming RWM trade fair in Birmingham, UK.
The HSM V-Press 860 plus vertical baling press has a pressing force of 548 kN and a quiet and energy-saving technology, making it the economical and ecological solution for all disposal activities.
The company explained that thanks to the extremely stable press guiding plate, the HSM V-Press 860 presses used packaging material such as cardboard and plastic film.
The rapid feed technology, developed specially for the V-Press series, is said to enable a significant reduction in power consumption and drive power with a simultaneous increase in throughput. Compared to conventional drives, the manufacturer said that this technology reduces the cycle time by up to 40%.
Due to the special pump technology, the machines are particularly quiet. The bales reach a material-dependent weight of up to 480 kg and are, as a standard, held together by a 4-fold wire strapping. Polyester strapping is also available as an option.
Secure Shredding
The shredder-press combination HSM SP 5088 will also be at the exhibition stand. With this disposal station, HSM explained that it combines the large document shredder FA 500 3 with a channel baling press. This makes it particularly suitable for use in archives or central offices for destroying documents up to security level P-5, including large volumes, which are then pressed into bales of up to 90 kg, depending on requirements.
The HSM exhibition stand (hall 5, booth P90) will also have a solution for destroying hard drives - the HSM Powerline HDS 230 mechanical hard drive shredder. Digital data carriers are shredded into the smallest particles by means of a robust, full-steel cutting mechanism, making restoration practically impossible.
Hard drives and magnetic strips measuring up to 3.5 inches, CDs/DVDs, disks and USB sticks can be shredded.
