Ambiente Ecological Plant Undergoes Major Overhaul : Pellenc Installs 20 Optical Sorters at Italian Recycling Facility
French optical sorting equipment manufacturer, Pellenc ST, has supplied Italian waste and recycling firm, Ambiente with 20 Mistral and Mistral DVI machines, to replace the existing equipment on site.
Pellenc said that the ambitious project is part of a major overhaul and upgrade of the Ambiente Ecological Plant and also encompasses a complete replacement of the existing mechanical equipment.
Project integration is being managed by French company Vauché, together with its Italian subsidiary Vauché Bioma Italia Srl.
“We at Pellenc ST serve over 100 new waste treatment and recycling projects every year, in most regions of the world, and I have to say that this project is really unique,” explained Jeremie Garbe, director of global sales at Pellenc ST.
“The customer wanted to achieve the highest possible degree of automation, so that he could at the same time improve his materials quality, reduce stress on personnel and minimise its operation costs,” he added.
According to Garbe, the result is one of the most sophisticated systems the company has installed.
Bruno Rossi, CEO of Ambiente S.p.A said that Pellenc optical sorting equipment was was selected based on its technology, service offering and flexibility.
“The automation level of the system will make it one of the most advanced in the world,”he said.
The project is due for completion within the first quarter of 2016 and will provide the region of Naples with a world-class facility for the recovery of recyclable materials, with a capacity over 70,000 tonnes per year.
